AI for Charities Course Launched

We’ve just launched a free 8-week training course about AI for charities. Over 400 people came to the first live session! We’re blown away by the enthusiasm of the community sector to gain knowledge in this space.

If you missed it but you’re keen to get in, sign up here.

Week one covered:

  • A brief history of AI and the current AI landscape in Aoteatora

  • Governance in an AI world (with special guests Jade Tang-Taylor and Herman Visiage)

  • How to give AI increasing context over time so it can do more complex work with you

  • Getting ready for hands-on practical work with AI

We got to know a bit about our participants and their views:

poll showing majority do not have an AI policy at their org
poll of ethical concerns about AI

And we got some good feedback, too!

"Really great. So well thought through, well paced and very well taught.”

"Great pace and level of information - really appreciate this."

"Thanks so much to the team at Fundsorter - this is so needed!”

"Ngā mihi - You always set the highest bar for training that meets the needs of this audience. You're just awesome!"

"Really Grateful 🙏 This has been invaluable session."

This is only the beginning! In future weeks we’ll cover creating AI workflows, safety and security, vibe coding, task automation, and a lot more. We’re excited to be on a learning journey with so many incredible charities and community organisations across Aotearoa.

If you’d like to join for the next seven weeks, sign up here.
